Default speaker wires and RCA cables ?

Pretty basic question- is any brand speaker wire or RCA cable signigicantly better than another? Is it worth the extra cash to buy expensive monster cable or something like that or will wal-marty-heaven be sufficient for my application (see sig). Thanks.

no need to blow your budget on high end RCA cables. Just make sure their twisted and shield. I went with Stinger brand for RCA, Speaker, power, etc.. It was pretty much in the middle, not too expensive and not cheap.

Please don't buy that cheap scoshe crapola from walmart. That stuff is junk. There is a reason that it's only like bux. Go with Rockford Fosgate, Phoenix Gold Tantrum, or Stinger Custom Pro wiring kits. Those are some of the better ones.

Yes, there is a difference...especially between the low end, Kmart/Walmart stuff, and the stuff your local stereo instal lshop uses. I like Monster Cable, Phoenix Gold, Stinger, Rockford, and few others. A decent 10 foot audio cable may cost you $20-30. JMake sure that you get something that is adequately shielded and has some built-in noise immunity, like twisted pairs, or balancing to accomodate for the nosiy environment you are going to be using it in.
In the home audio world, you would have trouble hearing the differnece between a $50 cable and a $500 cable, but in the car audio world, a $5 cable is junk, and spending $20 extra on a better cable will save you from a lot of headaches.
