My house has yet to have a problem. The 2-way feature is perfect for me. I can be out of the bed with my 9mm and out on the driveway in about 10 seconds. Damn military...old habits die hard. I keep my Z in the garage at home or in the garage at work where the transmitter reaches me fine. I couldn't be more at ease. Then there's my cousin. Has a civic that he imported from japan...right hand drive, jdm everything of course. He put a train horn in his car. I REAL train horn that has a compressor to push it. Someone breaks in your car a mile away and you hear it. The damn thing shakes the houses in my neighborhood when he honks 8 blocks away. Tell me no one will pay attention to that. lmao
Thas how we do in TX. I keep a small handgun right next to my dresser (which happens to be right next to my window). If i hear anything outside or if my car or my neighbors car starts actin up, I'm right next to the window with it. One thing for sure is that you hafta give out a warning shot. Or holler "HEY! STOP THERE DUMB@$$!!" and then give out a warning shot. WARNING SHOT NO MATTER WHAT.. that will always look good in a police report... i hope lol

No offense, but that's bad advice. If someone decides to use firearms to protect his or her life and property, they should consider getting some light training at the very least. There are definitely going to be situations in real life where a warning shot will simply get you killed.

Element of surprise, having the advantage, being proficient in the use of your firearm, and being mentally prepared to pull the trigger are all important things to consider if you want to be a responsible gun owner.
