Default Help with After market sub/amp install

I have a '03 350Z with Bose system. I have acquired a 10'' sub with a custom box for under the strut and a 400 watt amp. I also have a kenwood head unit.

I have a couple of questions.

1) Do i HAVE to remove the Bose amp and sub?

2) If so, can i leave them in and run the new sub and amp separately ?

3) I am installing this my self. I have experience with my car, but none with audio. I have been reading lots of forums and install videos. Any helpful advise or any additional things that this install will require that i may not know about?

Thank you.

Little point in running 2 sub woofers. Different brand, different impedance, different sound pressure level.

Make things simple and run one sub woofer.

I think he only wants to run one, he wants to know if he has to remove the Bose stuff or if he can just leave it.

1- no need to remove the Bose amp + sub
2- yes you can leave them and and run new sub + amp separately since those will be connect to you Kenwood headunit.
3- I also had a Bose system before and removed all the Bose craps and installed aftermarket stuff. Also first time working with audio and everything went smoothly. Make sure you have all the wirings ready, ie amp power kit, speaker cable, etc...

Make sure the amp and sub have the same ohms, better yet, google their product name and post the specs here.

Ok so here is the update,

1) I bought this amp/sub/box (pictures to come) from another 350z owner. I was able to see it installed and running in his 04 350z. So I know it will obviously run. Although, he did not have a Bose system.

2) I helped him uninstall it, so I am more or less confident in installing it my self.

3) The amp is only going to be wired to the sub then straight to the head unit.
a) Do i have to mess with the installed Bose system at all ( I don't want to)?
b) Will the rest of the speakers run fine?
c) Will the Bose sub still produce sound?

Thank you, I am sure I may have more questions

The head unit has already been installed. Do you think there will be a spot in the back of the head unit for the sub alone? Would i just disconnect the Bose one and connect the new one while keeping the other speakers connected. Also i am not changing the other speakers. The only thing being changed is the sub
