Default My $590 system!

[/QUOTE]Well, I got lucky. I found someone on craigslist selling two 12'' MTX thunder 4500 subs with an enclosure fit for the back of a 350z for $220. I also bought a JL 500.1 amp. With the amp, install, and wiring the total was $370. I know a lot of people don't think the MTX thunder 4500 are the greatest subs, but I was on a budget, and they hit very very hard...... The amp was placed under the seat instead of in the storage space behind the passenger seat due to the fact that there is no ventilation in the storage space and it gets very hot from the amp.

What do you think?

I'm trying to upload a picture of the subs themselves, but it keeps saying that the upload has failed. For now, the only attached picture if of the amp under the seat......

Not a bad deal you got, but one quality sub would sound better than two cheap ones. Nice amp though.

yeah the whole amp thing i'm not really stressing. Whether its in the storage space, or under the seat, as long as I don't see it i'm fine.

Yeah, I know. It really came down to the enclosure though. I was on somewhat of a budget too, so two 12's and an enclosure fit for the Z was the best move. In my opinion, it really sounds good.

Sorry but you could have nabbed a better deal on the subs then that. MTX subs are junk in my opinion. You could have got 1 good sub and built and enclosure and came out ahead. I'm sure they "hit very very hard" but i'm sure the rest of your stereo sounds like complete junk. But whatever floats your boat. Nothing worse then hearing a stereo with all that rattling and bass and 0 sound quality. But what do I know.

I agree with you on the fact that I could have just built my own enclosure and just went with one sub, but I doubt I could come out ahead from it. I just wanted more bass from the set up, and thats what I got. Nothing more or less.
