I use an SRQ under-strut box and can say the build-quality and finish is good.

If that's a CAS enclosure, it wouldn't be $100 - and it's MDF versus fiberglass. Still might sound OK, though. I always wondered if it would sound better with a grille?

Here's what I made for my '08 (~$35 + a few hours of my time):

I use the OEM Bose grille with this setup.

And, I wonder how the box is fastened to the metal plate, as I don't see any screws?

It's bolted in, I see the holes in the enlarged images. Looks like you just put that behind the regular plastic piece or bose grill piece.

I know the enclosure is bolted to the car, but I'm wondering how the MDF part is fastened to the metal mounting plate. I don't see any screws in the plate, and especially with a driver mounted inside, that box could get fairly heavy. I hope it's not glued together.
