Default Component speaker recommendations

So I have an

- Alpine CDA 9885 head unit

-10" JL 10W6v2 d4
in a zenclosure

-JL XD600/1 amp

Never really got into replacing the OEM speakers in the doors and behind the seats. I'd like some input on this. Amplified are fine but tryin to stay in the 400-500 range maximum said and done.

<<<<<<<<< I am a huge CDT fanboy.

500 bucks will get you an incredible set.

Focals are great
Elemental designs are great
RE audio is great.

If your budget can afford 100 bucks more I would get these:

If you are strict at 500 go with these:

The golds are a world of difference from the HDs, but I would still pit the HDs against any other speaker in the same price range.

Just make sure you get a nice clean amp to power them. ELemental designs makes a great amp. CDTs amps are great.

A good set of components are a waste of money with a crap amplifier running them. Trust me, been there, done that.

Some others will comment.

If you wanted a lesser speaker (but still badass)
You could get these:

Put the main tweet in the kick panel, the upstage tweet in the stock location. Replace the rears with the included speakers, and run them all with a killer amp.

You'll be happy.

Actually, the CF speakers in that package are the same ones I have being run with a ED nine.4 amp without the upstage and they sound incredible.
