We just installed an Alpine IVA-W505 (new) in my G and ran into an issue.

Only the Volume and Open buttons are working. Others and touch screens gives off beeping sound as if it's in some kind of "lock" mode.

Can some expert chime in on how should we solve this?

seems like a security issue check manual on a reset

 

use a pen and press in the reset button ( small dent near power and open buttons) and do a hard reset.. if that doesnt work, then the unit has an internal malfunction.


I say this as an owner of that unit, and as someone who has 20 years experience w Alpine products, trade shows, dealer etc..

Also call 1800 tech101... its a dealer tech line, but if you just ask right away about your problem, they never ask who you are calling with.

 

Thanks guys. I tried the lil button but that doesn't work. Seems like I'd have to give Alpine a call.
