Forgive me if this is covered, I'm not a Nissan guy. I'm doing an DNX5160 install in my wife's 05 Z and I didn't see this in the search results.

On the back of her factory Bose HU there are 4 harnesses, 2 obviously go into the PACROEM, but there are 2 that don't have a home. Do they get left out? Any other tips or tricks before I start soldering?

If I remember correctly, they're left out. If no one else posts up I'll double check when I get home, but, I believe they're not used in the aftermarket installation.

 

I also believe that's correct, but I did my install like 2 years ago. One of the harnesses is used for the bluetooth steering wheel controls I believe.

One more quick thing, the with the Kenwood DNX5160, PACROEM and the optional Kenwood bluetooth , where does the mute on the Kenwood harness tap into?

 

I was just adding some stuff to my system and yes, those two are left out.
About the mute on - you have to read Kenwood manual, nothing to do with the PAC ROEM.
