Default deck question

i bought the pioneer avh-p4200dvd deck. now my question is could i use the factory mounts or do i have to buy after market mounts

I tried to use the factory mounts for the same head unit...had zero luck...you might be able to drill some new holes in the stock mounts...but not sure how well that would work...i went with the AI kit and did not need to dremmel the faceplate...the unit flips open without brushing against the faceplate...

You'll have to get a dash kit.

I installed p 4200 with the metra kit. You can get them at Car Toy. the only problem is the faceplate must be files down about 1/8 of inch on the top in order for the dvd to flip open.

I used the stock mounting brackets with the metra kit... works fine... just had to trim the top of the metra kit.
