hey everybody. I posted in here a few weeks ago when i found a hu for sale. decided not to buy it. I see another for sale kid wants 350 obo for a pioneer avic d2. He has all the harnesses and the ipod hook interface. Do you think 300 would be a good deal for this system? I know its discontinued and would prob have to get the updated map software...

Thanks in advaced...I am not in a super rush to start building a system but if there is a good deal I wanna jump on it

anybody able to help out with this one? wanna grab it after work if its worth it. found same thing on ebay referbished for 390 but says it is unlocked and loaded with the 2010 software. will this used unit not update since its older and not unlocked? im just think 300 for navi and ipod hook up not to bad? stock hu is the bose and speakers cut out when hit a bump. prob just loose connections but really want a navi and to be able to have full control of ipod though radio

I have the D2 myself. I think $350 is fair. You can try to offer $300 and see what happens.
As for the Nav Disk, I have the latest CNDV_90MT_EAST.iso and CNDV_90MT_WEST.iso. A good place for info is the www.avic411.com forum.

I have never heard of one being " LOCKED " There are some hacks, but thats done via the Nav Disk. Again the he www.avic411.com forum is the place to look.

cool thanks for the info im gonna offer 300 b/c can get referb with warrenty and updates for 390...any other info on this would help too thanks in advance

okay so I can get a the used avic d2 for 300 with all wires and ipod connect wire for 300. it is used and has one little scratch..

or..

this is the other system I was looking into getting would be 460 brand new with ipod wire-- JENSEN VM9424 6.2

what do you guys think?

thats where I originally spotted it lol. was just ballparking the price with the ipod wire and bluetooth included and it around 450... just not sure if it better to go with a new jensen or a 4 year old pioneer.... I was told jensen was taken over by kenwood and was everything i was looking for in a system bc dont need anything crazy but this is from a salemen....who made like was making a deal throughing in the ipod wire and was talking about the a/v wire that hooks into the front of hu and comes with it not the usb interface wire that allows full function of the ipod....

No prob. I like my D2, but I am thnking of getting Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD. I dont need the Nav. The Smart phones seem to do a better job, and the maps are way more updated.
