Depends on what you're looking for. Are you just looking for a slight upgrade over stock or are you looking to have heart palpitation kind of bass?

i think that i LOVE lanzar opti's

a 2000 lanzar opti needs to be run at .5 ohm to get 2000 watts

i highly doubt your electrical is up to running at .5 ohm

and i might add that at .5 ohm that Lanzar will beat the living dog Shitt out of those pioneer drivers

when i think subwoofers pioneer never enters my mind

what are you trying to achieve and what is your budget ?

have you already bought anything?

is the system 100% stock at the moment?

is the $1000 for an entire system, or just for sub, box, amp, power, ground, rca, trigger turn on, sub - & + leads, LOC? are you installing this or are you paying labor to a shop?

does you car have bose system?

are you leaving the factory radio and front & rear factory speakers?

what type music do you listen to?

that amps has the capability to destroy the drivers yes

$100 for the install is un-heard off , but if you can get it done for that, wonderful

it would take me at the very least 10 hours to complete that if i rushed

well if you already bought everything not really much to change or sway from your plan

if the drivers are DVC 4 ohm you can wire the amp to a 1 ohm load before box rise

just set the gains with a DMM and be careful

Typically if you're going to ask the forum's opinion on certain gear, it's best to do so BEFORE you've bought it.

I just installed the single voice coil version and the 360W mono amp and it hits harder than I can stand it. I have the gain on about 1/8 a turn to balance with the speakers. 2 is a huge overkill unless you are trying for max dbs.

Also I built my box for $40 and bought the amp as a display model for $55 so the whole bass setup only cost me about $170.

Nice set up and subs for that price man Idk why so many people dislike pioneer from the reviews I and actuall customer feed back, they seem very durable and can hit on point if properly wired......well my whole set up in the end going to come out to 1100$ dollars because Im purchacing Polk Momos 6.5inch to replace my Bose in door speakers they will be running off a 4 channel amp...that combined with my pioneers running off that Lanzar Opti2000D amp should be more than enough bang for my (Z)....when I get back from my deployment Ill let you guys know how the setup sounds....
