Exclamation Alpine single din install help!!!

I am installing an alpine CDE-9870 single din HU in my 2005 Z. I have the Alpine wiring harness soldered up to the Nissan wiring harnesses but where do i connect the ground? if i just solder the black wires together in the two wiring harnesses i noticed that there is nothing on the car side of where the black wire is on the Nissan Harness?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

That's what i just tried... didnt work. Guess i did something else wrong in the wiring. Time to pull out the multi meter and get to testing.

Thanks for the help though.

I’m not certain I understand your question. Please forgive me if my reply is not helpful.

If you do not have a ground when combining the OEM and aftermarket harness, you simply ground to an appropriate position that is convenient and reliable.
