mp3 player with BOSE
Went to car stereo store.......I want to play mp3 on Bose....one cd with 130 songs..........sweet.....the new alpine units will accept cd or mp3. On mp3 you can set up categories on the mp3 disc and scroll through, dividing the content into albums, music types, etc...much more music with only a few discs.........has anyone hooked up mp3 to the bose? The car stereo guys said you cant hook up mp3 to the bose without fm modulation, which loses quality. HELP!!!

sorry ed... don't think there's much you can do... our bose doesn't have an aux in, and short of a custom job (taking apart the HU and splicing the input lead from your tape or CD player and attaching an mp3 line to it) your car stereo guys are correct.... fm mod, new HU, or nothing

This might not be exactly what you're looking for but I sometimes hookup my IRiver MP3 player to my Bose though the cassette adapter from my Sony CD player. My IRiver currently has 116 songs on it.
The sound quality is fine. The only thing I have to deal with is the cord hanging from the tape player to my IRiver. I usually use it on long drives so I just place the mp3 player on the passenger seat.
