Default Question about audio stuff *noob*

Audio system is very new to me so forgive me first. I am just looking for a minor upgrade nothing insane. and base on the DIY http://web.me.com/orbitalpunk/orbitalpunk/Avicd3.html it looks fairly simple.

Here is my list right now of item I think I need to buy

- Pioneer FH-P8000BT
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...ers/FH-P8000BT
- Metra 70-7550
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...#ht_1179wt_905
-Metra 99-7402 Dash Kit
http://cgi.ebay.com/Metra-99-7402-1-...#ht_2251wt_816

What else would I need to attempt to install this on my own?

Also can anyone recommend some bang for the buck speakers to go with these? Can I hook up the oem speaker wires to the new speakers?

It seems like your on the right track! but looking at that harness, it may not be the right one you need!( it is the right one, ebay and its bad advertisement, my apologies) and if hooking up a new deck, you might as well run independent speaker wires to each speaker; if buying aftermarket ones!

i suggest you look at this website: Sonicelectronics.com
i order alot of car audio from them, as i do installs on the side.

and they currently have a special, that if you buy the deck they include everything needed to install for free!!! check it out. you wont be disappointed.

zero point to running new speaker wire to the new speakers.. just a ton of unnecessary work.. be aware theat you will generally have to make your own ground wire for the deck to the chassis even though there is a ground in the metra harness... its just the way it is, ground it somewhere GOOD.

Sonic is cool, but Ive had 50 percent of thier items arrive DOA and with beat to death boxes and cost me money to ship back when they had shipped defective merchadise to me.. preeeetty shady if u ask me.. dimensionaudio is where i go now.

I bought 2 10w7s, a pdx 1000.1 and a pdx 4.150... the only item that arrived without cold solders internally and no operation was ONE 10w7. Thats unheard of and maybe just insane coincidence.
Just saying.. all the ebay stuff is cheap.. but the competetion between sellers is in the warranty offered.
