Default Subwoofer specs

now i know this has probably been asked, but ive been researching for awhile and havent come up with a good enough answer. I am looking for specs for a box 2x 10" preferably like the zenclosures, but would think about taking out my spare tire.

just something to point out.. a sheet of good MDF is over 30 dollars.
Silicone sealant, wood glue, carpet.. mess...
a Z enclosure is a hundred bucks my man... build your own and guess at the fit .. not being rude at all, just trying to point out some obvious things you may not have thought about... but if youre having to ask about box volumes etc.. im assuming you havent built one (or built many) before? So why chance it?

i have not built my own, have a friend who just built one, but here on my base i have a good woodshop with good MDF and all supplies. there is a guy there who builds boxes and he said he would be glad to help me with everything, just need some dimensions

ah, that makes far more sense then.
Darmstadt?
My buddy lived there for 5 years, then to Afghanistan, now lives in Seoul.
I hear germany is pretty cool.

Best bet is to use good cardboard to make a rough trim plate shape for under the strut bar. then you can transfer stuff to mdf.

The box itself is really just a big wedge sandwiched between a cut to fit back and front fascia plate piece.

In terms of specs? it depends on your woofers thata youre using, call the manufacturere, but for a pair of tens, id assume sealed at 1.3-1.5 ft is all your gonna need, and about all your gonna get outta the Z strut area.
l x w x h, account for wood thickness... basic stuff.
