Default Beltronics V995 Mounting Noise

I recently hardwired my Beltronics V995 and since that time it has been making a lot of noise when stepping on the gas or when driving on a crappy road. The reason it makes the noise is because the radar detector is not 100% snug in the clip (design flaw I believe).

The reason it's making the noise since I hardwired it is because the coiled power cord used to put a lot of tension on the V995 and thus would not allow it move around. Since that tension is now gone (hardwired it) it pretty much bounces around whenever the car shakes (metal to metal noise).

Does anyone have any suggestions or had the same problem and fixed it?

I have the V995 on the mirror with a mount from one of the vendors on here. Here is a picture of the setup:

Thanks

if its a gap that is causing the rattling, either put a felt circle in there, or put a small amount of rubber cement on it.

Yeah that's pretty much what it is, a gap.
