Default High volume - low sound

Hey guys just installed my new kenwood ddx 5022 but I have to have the unit on volume 30 (max is 35) just to hear anything, I had the Bose stereo in before and have the Bose adapter but I still can't hear much?

Check your grounds, and make sure you have the correct harness for you model. I had the wrong harness when I installed my pioneer AVH4300, and I had to have the volume on 40 just to hear anything. But when I got the correct one everything was good. Hope that helps!

I just installed a Pioneer AVIC x930bt. Having the same problem. What I've learned is that the Bose amp doesn't work well with aftermarket headunits. I'm installing a couple of amps with a new sub and upgrading my door speakers while I'm at it. Should take care of sound.

I dont seem to be getting any sound from my rear speakers though, I do have 2 LR phono leads lugged into my head unit, but the headunit has another 2 phono leads inputs for Rear and SW but my ISO loom only has 2 RCAs?
