Default Sub/amp advice

ok ima lil new to amp and sub work but i already read the argument of 1 12" compared to 2 10's. so if i get the 2 10 inch subs does the wattage of the amp have to be greater then the wattage of the subs? and can 1 amp handle the 2 10 inch subs?

Read this. All of it. If you read all of that, you'll possibly never have to ask another question about car audio.

Simple answer:yes. One amp can "handle" two subs

Real answer:study up ohms law. There are too many sub/amp wiring set ups to mention. Google subwoofer wiring. Study it. Browse products. Ask more questions when homework is complete.

That, and http://www.the12volt.com taught me pretty much everything I know. Throw in some MECP certification books for good measure, and you're a certified mobile electronics BO$$ lol.

I'd much rather give someone the resources to learn, than answer their questions all day. I don't mind helping people out, but this question was so broad... I'd be here all week teaching this guy everything.

OP: After you read up on the stuff we suggested, let us know if you have any specific questions.
