Wiring Question About Pioneer 4300
So ive tried to find an answer, but havent found a straight answer, im confused on the dimmer/illumination wires.. and from what ive read, if you connect these wrong you can really mess up some stuff. So i have a 2008 350z with bose, and i bought the metra harness kit (99-7602 i think) for it and it has a solid orange wire that says "illumination/dash lights". On the pioneer 4300 it has a orange/white wire that says "lighting switch terminal". Do i connect these two wires together? Thanks in advance for anyone who helps me
i honestly wouldn't hook up the dimmer... it doesn't work correctly ..
i hooked mine up .. and when u switch runing light to headlights on.. it changes the dimness.. and doesn't respond to the actual car dimmer...
so i got tired of it and cut it.. and just set the dimness to how i like on the actual deck setting.. just my 2 cents..

thats the wiring for your car.. below...
i had this problem on a 4100 and a 4200.. on a 2006 Z.. i am assuming it will be the same on yours.. the most annoying thing was when u turn your headlights on and off.. the deck jumps uncontrollable bright levels.. or goes dim.. so i just disconnected the dimmer wire..
was just my 2 cents and history on the question

i left it unconnected.
does anyone else have a 08 350z with the pioneer 4300 installed? the metra dash kit doesnt sit flush, and the deck itself doesnt seem to come out at all, im thinking it has something to do with the brackets itself and not the metra kit. the kit fits around the deck just fine.
