Default Need Help With ST800 Install!!!

So I have been looking for more information on installing the st800 unit and I have found the DIY on my350z but I was wondering if anyone has the diagrams from Auto Innovatio. I tried getting them from Sean but he says I needed to have bought from Auto Innovatio. So Im stuck. I would really like to have those diagrams

THANKS!!

the manuals sent from auto innovatio with the products are fully in Korean, they are no help to you.

Albeit cryptic, you can follow thier pictorial CAREFULLY. Too bad its ONE image that has to be scrolled thru.

Luckily, i ahve a local shop that has done one before, so when (if ever) i get my car back i can leave it to them.

Do you have any specific questions regarding the install? If you have a diagram that says what each wires does you shouldn't need anything else.

the problem is that there is only one diagram and it isnt the best. I have everything wired up and the push button light comes on and when I push the brake it starts flashing. But when I try to start the car the ON button starts flashing RED....so I have a mistake somewhere....and could anyone tell me what a belt wire is. It says i need to hook the GREEN/BLACK belt wire to the key insertion output but there isnt a GrEEN/BLACK wire on the harness????.....I took it to like 6 different installers and they all turned me away.

Sounds like it is talking about a key sense wire.

Does the manual say anything about what it means when the on button flashes red?

Where did you buy the unit from?

lol.... dude... did you go to their site at all???

all their manuals are on there.

My alarm shop would not try and install mine yesterday because i have a 2005 and they only have instructions for a 2006... I'm still waiting for a call back from Sean. Who knows when that will happen... Maybe I will call him now. Hope you don't mind but I will use your thread to update on my interactions with them as well...

hope this helps.

I was about to install mine last weekend but forgot my FSM at work so i couldn't get the corrrect wires from the BCM. The manuals and pictorial i got from their site doesn't quite match up with my car and for some reason the G35 and 350z one are slightly different.

I'm also thinking like KP, i think you are talking about the key sense wire which is a different harness then the big one located on the back of the cylinder. It is a light brownish one on the side of the cylinder. There are two wires coming from it that are both white/red.

My manuals were in full english as well. To me the most helpful one is this one.

I spoke with Sean about 10 mins ago... he told me that the key sense wire for a 2005 and 2006 were different as well on a Z so I will have my shop contact him directly and hopefully build some confidence with this install... they were definitely not comfortable installing the alarm since there was only diagrams on a 2006 350z on the site... Fear of burning out the BCM was the main concern...

will let you know if we bump into the blinking light issue as well.... hope we don't lol

You shouldn't need vehicle specific instructions to install this. In fact, I have never used a vehicle specific guide to install any alarm/remote start/push button start system. If you know what each wire on the unit does, have a vehicle wire guide (from www.bulldogsecurity.com or other places), and a volt meter you should be able to install any alarm/remote start/push button start. Vehicles change from year to year and even mid year (like 04 and 04.5) making vehicle specific guides virtually useless and dangerous in the big picture. The KEY is using a volt meter to verify ALL wires before making any connection. Doing so will prevent any chance of damaging anything in the car. Following an online guide and not verifying anything is exactly why there are so many "I installed X and broke Y" threads on here.

If you have a shop who won't install your system because you don't have a step by step guide I would look for another shop. They should have access to all the information they need to do the install.

glad you got it all figured out... what was the issue???

I received the year specific manuals from Sean and sent it to my installers... we will know by friday if they are willing to try... I normally have a lot of faith in these guys BUT i guess they blew the BCM on a Audi not long ago doing an install he wasn't comfortable with so NooOOoOooow he is iffy about the install in total i guess... understandable but i guess, what ever... if he can't do it I'm sure another shop that has the same (if not more) experience would love to tackle it I'm sure.

Did you do the install yourself? if not how much did it cost to get it done??

tips for all. light flahes please take note how many time it flashes and compare to the error flashes in the manual. if you wire everything correctly and the car flash please check your hand brake to see if it is engaged. it needed to be engaged before the car can start.

Please register your remote! it needed to be registered before your car can start.

how to registered? please look at my diy on my 06.

as for 03-05 the wire colors are different. all you have to do is look up your wire and connect the wires like the diagrams i drew but with your OEM wire instead of my 06. like KPierson said, you should not need a specific instruction to install this. if you read the manual carefully you will understand it. Good luck to all. anyone live near my area. if you are living in Orange county i will help you too if you are willing to pay for my gas! I will be a ble to help on weekend only though. SOCAL is my area.

Everything works great except my digital key pad went out so I have to get another one and sometimes the car can remote start and sometimes it doesnt (if anyone has answers let me know why it does that?) It took me a week to install because this was my first system install and i didn't want to mess it up...thanks to sssmasss DIY I got it all figured out!!! It really isnt complicated to install! if you have any questions feel free to ask! and ya I went 50 miles in each direction from where I live and nobody wanted touch this system!
