I have(or will very soon) a 2004 silverstone touring....Here's the system I removed from my old car and I wanted to install it in the Z...

I was thinking of installing the subs in the factory location and the glove box....obviously fiberglassed(like the DB roadster used in the LA auto Show)......the components in the factory locations and the amps hidden behind the boxes....
What are you using for line out converters so I can retain the stock H/U???

Any suggestions on my choices for speaker placement????

 

audiolink or soundgate both make locs that are compatible with the Bose HU (differential), I tried hard to keep the Bose but it just didn't sound good, so I changed my HU too...

 

I dunno why people are so into the stock head unit POS. The 7700 looks more stock than it does, has 5.5V preouts, and is well worth the $$$ if you do any decent stereo. I mean, the head unit is where the sound starts; if it's crappy, you're just amplifying noise.

 

the problem is there is high car theft in queens, NY. at night it will be safely sleeping in a garage but during the day it may need to be on the street for a lil...most people glace in to look for a raido around here....If it looks stock they will move on to the next one!!!
That and I'd rather spend the money for a HU on a Nav-TV set-up and dvd player.
