The new kenwood double din head unit is android compatible from what I have read. I think it may be the only one as far as I know.

DSX-S310BTX by sony.

That has the android / pandora functions you requested. Sony has a new model: the mirror link units, that will copy your android screens. sorta like an emulator.

I've had sony and pioneer and sony is quite nice. I recommend both.

you'll have to wait until q2 for Sony to launch its new mirror link. Those will have large screens and will emulate your cellphone's screen.

When you attempt to make something compatible with android it has to work across a multitude of different devices with different specs connections and abilities.

I personally only use android devices my wife has all apple each has their strengths and weaknesses. only thing I will give to apple are the accessories which are endless.

I write software for a living, and say what you want about the Apple devices but writing ANYTHING for Android is an exercise in frustration. Why? Because the ONLY way for Motorola, HTC, or any of the other Android licensees to convince you to buy their device over the competition is to load up their device with features that are incompatible with their competitions' devices. If you write for the common feature set, then you get people complaining that you don't support the wiz-bang features of the latest device, and if you write for the latest device from one manufacturer, your software might be incompatible with ALL of the other manufacturer's devices. So, you're not writing one program -- you're writing FOUR or FIVE programs, and those programs all have to fit inside a SINGLE program file, so you add a SIGNIFICANT amount of complexity to get all of the options to work together.

It's kind of like designing a car to be not only a car, but also a pickup, an SUV, a sports car, and a tractor.

Kenwood has compatible Android HU. On a side note I cannot stress enough if you have an Android device download Player Pro. Its an excellent software developed for android that utilizes you Phones processor to enhance DSP. They have a 7day trial and make sure you download the free DSP pack which includes a 10 band EQ. Hook that baby up via 3.5mm and you will be amazed at the upgrade in fidelity that your system will put out. I recommend to put the preset on Headphone in the EQ, depending on the music you may have to turn the Bass and Treble just a hair down but its the best starting setting. You guys wont be disappointed enjoy!

PowerAmp Pro is better and looks nicer. It also got DSP enhance and equalizer control.
