Pop quiz
2 nights ago I replaced my amp with a different one, nothing special, just a direct swap. This morning my battery was completely dead. I popped the hood, then checked my amp connections next. It turns out I must have not have put the ground cable into the amp terminal very well because it was loose and completely out of the terminal. My question is would that be the cause of my battery drain or should I be looking for something else?
correct. ^ your amp wont drain your battery even IF its on all night playing ZERO music.. unless your battery sucks in the first place.. which would happen if your wiring sucks and youre drawing too much current for your alternator in the first place.
Take it to a shop. car audio is one area where if you are not a PRO, dont try it.. i highly reccomend ppl pay pros for it and watch n learn before installing their own stuff, usually takes 4-5 nightmares before you start getting good at it.
