Unhappy Video won't play on my Pioneer AVH-P4000 :(

I have a Pioneer AVH-P4000 head unit and I'm having some trouble playing video on it. It supports WMA and Divx formats, but I can't play either of these formats. I tried burning a video to a regular CD and a DVD, and it won't play either. The head unit says that it's an unsupported format. I also tried to play avi and mp4 files, and those don't work either. A regular non-burned DVD works though. What am I doing wrong?

You must put the files on a data-disc. That means you can't play discs that have been closed out from your desktop as a DVD format, only as a data format. You drag/drop then burn the DVD, but if you finalize it using DVD-encoding software it's not going to play. And it sounds like you've found out just that!

How can I burn it without finalizing?

by what he just stated lol just pop in the cd go to the cd/dvd open it and it going to be empty, now drag and drop the files you want and then hit BURN!(sizzel) lol that should do it. Also, you have to make sure the clips or w.e you want is already formated to what your system can read.

So to burn music videos for a headunit, I need to burn it as a DVD-ROM or DVD-Video format?
