MP3 Changers
Anyone know of any companies that make an MP3 changer for the car (preferably in-dash)? Having a mp3 headunit is great, but having say a 6 or 10 disc changer, then you could have pretty much your entire online music library in your car at your fingertips.
Thanks

You might want to checkout the PHATBOX or Kenwood Keg. I am installing a PHATBOX next. 20gig DMS cartridge excellent size. just copy your MP3's from your PC. This unit works with the stock stereo's as well. It even has talking intro's.

Kenwood Keg
I have the Kenwood Keg 20GB and this thing is slick.
Load the songs from your PC to the cartridge , then place cartidge in the Keg and play. Sounds great and plays thru my Alpine 7995 HU, as it has AUX IN RCAs.
The only drawback to the Keg is navigation. At the least it requires the Kenwood FM Modulator which has nav buttons and a single LCD line. With the voice announce activated it makes it better, but still cumbersome.
Owners of the Kenwood KVT 910, 911 and M700 were told by Kenwood they could be controlled by those HU, but none will show more than 10 discs. The 915 which is scheduled for the the first quarter of 2004 and supposedly will fix that. Then the LCD will show the disc in increments of 10, and the touchscreen will allow for touch navigation. The 910, 911 and soon the 915, all play DVDs as well. But very expensive.
Even though I like my Keg I am seriously thinking of going to in car pc.
I found a really good GUI for free.

Also you could try mediaengine.com.
Depending on the specs, a person should be able to build a system for under $800.00. $300.00 for touchscreen VGA screen and $500.00 for decent pc of laptop.
Hope this helps.
