Default Front speaker hits grill !!!

Hey guys I just installed 4 Infinity Kappa 62.9i and I'm having some problems with the front speakers. I used the factory spacers and now the speakers is hitting the door panel/grill. Has anybody had this problem and is there a solution.

The factory spacers are too thin to provide the offset you need for your Infinity Kappa speakers. But, you already know this.

You can make custom spacers, but I wonder if there is still enough offset to fit these speakers in the OEM's door position. You may need to go with door pods.

I had same issue with infinity Kappa perfects. There are particular spots where it hits.
I did lie down under the door panel as I attached the bottom of the door panel to help me see exactly where it hits. I went to work with the dremel. Took care of that. I used the stock old speakers as spacers as you did

Take a dremmel to those crappy plastic speaker covers in your door. It will sound a million times better. I cut apart a black under-armour shirt and rubber banded it where the old speaker grill used to be. Looks great, i think there is a thread somewhere where someone did this.
