navi in cubby project, give opinions plx
Hey guys,
I decided to follow some of you and fit navi in to the OEM slot.
Meanwhile I would like to stick to my Bose as radio/music is concerned. I selected cheapest 2DIN unit (I don’t need it to be super-duper since I will only use screen for my rear cam and navi)

I saw a lot of great projects here (gz!) and in most of them you buy with new dashboard.
1. Is the dashboard different in 2007+ models? I have 2007 HR and haven’t seen any dash cluster for my model on eBay so far.
2. Is it possible to fit navi in to cubby shelf? w/o new dashboard?
3. How do you fix the navi sound, I want to retain my original BOSE as sound source and I don’t have a clue how to connect navi and mobile Bluetooth in to the grid.
Maybe some of you have some alternative idea; I saw some of you going the easy way, fitting standard mobile navi in to the cubby slot, any of those you could recommend? I am most curious if it is possible to connect my rear camera in to such solution.
Most of the portables 7” navi have the "turn on" button on the side and need to be switched on each time after I shut down the engine, so it is the 1st problem, next one is updating the software.
