Default Getting my girlfriend a new stereo system for her Z, but have questions

I have been looking to get her a new stereo system for quite some time and I have come to conclusions and talked to her about getting her a touch screen system. I have two stereo systems I am looking towards but the dash doesn't really look like it can contain these. I have measured her dashboard for her stereo and it came up around 4.2' height and around 7.2' length. Those were just quick measurements, probably not the most accurate.

I just want to find out if anyone has installed a touch screen stereo into their car and how it went. I need information before I buy it because I'll also be doing it myself to save money. I'm not sure if I'd need a harness either for it.

Amazon Amazon

I am not sure the year of the z or even if it is a z but you need 2 things to make the install go smooth. Wire kit and adapter. They are car specific and you will need a double din adapter as the first link shows. I got both for 2006 and 07 350z. Good luck.

Maybe this will help. Go to Cruthfield.com They have many units to check out and you can put your car in to find what fits, then cross check prices with best buy, amazon or ebay. Cruthfield has a lot of good info for making this kind of upgrade.
