Recommend replacement components?
My right JL XR650 CSI woofer died, and I called JL to check on the price of a replacement and it's $100 to replace. Seems a little silly.
So, now I'm considering buying a replacement set of components. I never installed a sub (I could, just haven't been bothered to get an enclosure and all), so components with good low end would be a plus.
My amp is the Alpine MRV-F345, which is 75 RMS per channel. Four channels, unless I bridge the second two to make 300 for the sub.
What components should I check out? I have the 6 1/2" spacer from zenclosures.
One thing to note: I had to build an additional 1/4" spacer to fit my XR650's, but that spacer has split into bits now. Would really like to find set of components that will work with the 1" spacer from zenclosures. Mounting depth of the old speakers I had was 2.81"...
