Default Replace Stock HU with Double Din

Hey guys, i know theres like 10 other threads about this but i want some more specific feed back and some posts are really old so here we go.

I have an 04 with none bose, i plan to hook up an amp and a 10", id love some navi, aux, the rear camara input, and obviously a nice look, id like to spend about 300 maybe 400.

what do you guys think ? i wish i could try these put before i bought them i have a friend who has a pioneer something on his Porsche and the damn HU is so slow, i dont need that thing taking that long after i touched the screen to figure out where it needs to go, unlike my father who has some BMW after market HU which works flawlessly.

thank you guys.

If your wanting Navi as a option in a HU your $300-400 budget isn't going to cut it. Maybe for a used one...

I'm looking at getting a Pioneer AVIC Z130BT and the cheapest i've found so far is $741.

For a nice double din with all those features your looking at a easy 600 minimim unless you buy some cheap shitty ebay one.

I'd recommend saving up a bit longer for something worthwhile. I have a Pioneer AVIC-X930BT and could not be happier, but I spent $600 on mine at the time. You might be able to find used ones for less.

Overall it was one of the best decisions I've made in regards to my sound system! I absolutely love it. Best part about it is being able to control my iPod through the unit rather than on the actual iPod, not to mention the GPS.

You do need a bezel for the front of the radio so you have no gaps. It is just a plastic bezel. You need a harness which you splice into the radio harness and then it just plugs into the original car radio plug.

I bought a Pioneer gps/radio/ipod/bluetooth/iphone/touch screen with the bezel and the harness all ready wired on this site used for $325 shipped. Sure its a few years old but its great. Took about 45 minutes to install. Plug and play baby.
