The camera is the ebay camera that replaces the licence plate light. Works well in daylight not so great at night but great buy for 20 dollars

Just wondering if anyone else has installed the Pioneer AVH-X5500BHS and which install kit (DIN bezel) they used?

I like the one canmark used and I'm guessing by the pics that it's a Scosche brand? The metra bezel looks like the corners have a half-inch radius with a funky recessed edge.

Also, did anyone use the parking brake micro-bypass switch?

Thanks! -Suzi
No worries, the adapter plate is the Scosche nn1647b/nn1647
Adapter cable was Pioneer CD-IU201V
If you have the Bose use PAC ROEM-NIS2 interface kit instead of Metra 70-7551 wiring harness

I have similar camera as yours, but it's CCD instead of CMOS.

The low light performance is superb compare to CMOS.

Finally have the my pioneer AVH-X550BHS installed - I like it!!

I think someone else mentioned this but I did have to lower the radio mounting holes a heavy 1/16+ of an inch. The DVD door was hitting the top of the Scosche frame.

Also, I'm sure someone else has done this although I haven't seen it anywhere, I took the Scosche frame and started with 220 wet dry paper and worked up to 2000 grit followed by 3M fine cut and final glaze compound. The frame ends up matching the high gloss of the radio instead of the Scosche pebble grain. (See attachment)

Thanks again for your help canmark - Now I know what you mean about small buttons -

The polish goes really well with the radio. I may end up doing that with mine as well if I take it off again.
