Rear Speaker Clearance Info..... Needed....
I have a set of Infinity Kappa 3 way 6.5 speakers that I want to install in my rear speaker locations. My issue is that the tweets on the speakers are not flush they rise up past the top of the speaker slightly and I need to know if they are going to hit the trim or if there is clearance for the install.. If not what are some good sounding speakers that people have already installed in there Z's and fit... Going to be running an amp as well.. Door speakers as well, the only speakers Im pretty sure will fit in the doors are Polk db651s. So might go with those and maybe Polk MM651 in the rear if I can find out if they fit or not..

Man oh man. We have a fat audio section and this still gets posted.
I'm going to guess your budget isn't very high judging by the speakers you're planning on using, so I'm going to give you the same advice that gets thrown at every single person that posts in this section.
1. Forget about your rear speakers. Disconnect them or leave them connected to only the head unit.
2. There are plenty of speakers that fit in the front doors. Popular recent choices have been Alpine Type Rs, and if you can afford more the JBL ms-62C is a current winner. You'll just use a 1 inch spacer like they did for OEM.
3. Please please please buy an amp to power your aftermarket fronts. If not you might as well buy any cheap set.

The rear speaker slot has lots of room allowing you to mount just about any 6.5” speaker. You can use a spacer if the tweeter extends past the front of your Infinity Kappa.
The problem with the rear speaker mount is its position that broadcasts into the rear of the seats. This position works OK as “fill” sound, but you want your dominant and best speaker in the front.

Thanks for all of the useful information. That's what these forums are all about, but you always have to deal with others that think they are better than everyone else. They are everywhere and keep people from wanting to participate in helping other members. Thanks to those who participate and share knowledge without having to attempt to belittle others in the process.
