Default Where did you put your ipod cable?

I have a 04 enthusiast and will be putting in a kenwood ddx head unit Wednesday. The guy at the car stereo store told me this unit has the option to add a direct ipod hook up (plugs into the back) and says he normally runs it into the glove box, but as you know, no real glove box in the Z. So my question is, where did you run your cord? I was thinking maybe going straight up into the cubby above unit, or maybe back into the storage box by your right elbow (cup holder)
Any help is appreciated!

Thanks

Those are 2 of the popular places to put it if you don't mind cutting a hole in your dash. I used my old Nano and tucked it under the shift boot because I only disconnect it to add/remove songs.

Is there really any option without cutting the dash?

I have mine (for an iPhone 5) coming up through the little slot at the rear of the handbrake rubber trim piece. The iPhone tucks in neatly between the handbrake boot and console.

For anyone that wants to run a rear auxiliary/iPod cable from the rear of the radio get at least 6 feet. I got a 4' and it has about 8" of slack coming out of the e Brake.

I ran mine under the shift boot and through the plastic trim between the drivers side and the E-brake, so that when i'm leaving i can unplug my iphone and tuck it to the side of my drivers seat.

ive got mine running into the center console. i just ran my cord from the head unit down next to the shifter and up through the plastic. cut a little hole into the bottom of my console and popped my cord through there. i use an ipod touch so im not too worried about being able to access it lol

Took a pic of mine just now. The cable from the Kenwood DDX470 is black, and while it's quite long, it's hidden inside the console. That's the Apple adapter cable, so I can connect my iPhone 5, but it is only available in white, and it's maybe 6" long (there's a joke in there somewhere).

In my 03 I have it coming up into the ash tray. Makes a nice holder for it as well.

Im going to do that as well with the auxiliary cable. Right now I have it coming up from the front but it prevents the e Brake from having a solid "click" when I take it off. Looks good dcains.
