Default Install help

so ive tried searching and found some help but not everything i needed. installing a new pioneer navi system, im hooking up a back up camera. does anyone know if there is a reverse input anywhere in the dash area you can tap into for the camera input wire? i already have the camera all wired up in the back for power/ground and the rca, but cant find a spot to get the signal for the head unit.

I don't know of a place around the dash but you should be able to tap into the reverse lights at the back of the car.

^^ +1. thats how our old shop used to do it on almost all applications. just tap it directly into your reverse lights. thats really one of the only indications that your car has that its in reverse(or at least one of the easiest to fit your needs)

BCM behind the driver kick panel. On my '03, it's a light green wire. Not sure if that applies to other years.

Just suck it up and run the wire to the back and connect to reverse lights.

-Remove shifter surround
-Remove center console (2 screws on sides, 1 under ash tray
-Remove carpet and pad in trunk
-Remove the bottom of the cubby box

That should give you enough room to feed the wire. I just finished mine up the other day and it worked perfect. Tapped into the reverse wire as well.
