I have two 10" jl w6's and a 500/1 waiting to be installed in my Z and a friend of mine suggested that I sell the 500/1 and buy another 10" w6 and the 1000/1 .I think two 10's will be loud, and 3 will be obnoxious. Does anyone have this setup? Are you happy with the bass or do you wish you had more? Any suggestions?

I will keep the 500/1 and 2 - 10" w6v2's. The 1000/1 amp with 3 10"s is an overkill. I have the 1000/1 amp setting at halfway and still is too much. Save your money and get some decent high's and mid's.

i would sell the amp and buy the 1000w personally. I would rather have too much bass that you can lower than not enough. But what you want to do is your decision. I think w6v2s are happiest at about 400 watts. I am running W7s at 333 watts which is low for W7s. When i get more money i will spring another amp in there. I just htink it is better to have more than not enough.

hey MCopare are you happy with the way your two 10's sound or would you add another sub if you could. Can your car be heard from a decent distance or is it just loud when your inside the car?

That's exactly what I'm running. ![Smilie](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I have no complaints. I can already rattle the living crap out of my hatch and everything in the car (a properly EQ'd sub is far louder than larger subs/more power without any EQ'ing).
Save your money and invest in a good EQ (like an Audio Control EQS).

Two 10"s, in my opinion, are overkill in the Z. The cabin is so small. My single 10" Kicker Comp VR has 250W running to it and the bass is incredible. So much so that it exposed every rattle in the cabin, even with a healthy layer of Dynamat. I tried two 10"s in my car and it was literally painful. Unless you are into car rattles galore, go with one 10". You can't go wrong.
