Can anyone advise the easiest way to hardwire the phone/cigarette adapter? I miss having the ability to use/charge my phone while the car is off....

 

You would have to tap into the radio's 12V constant on wire to have 12V when the car is off. OR tap into the fuse box with a constant 12V on lead.
The easiest install method is thru the fuse box, cause you don't have to remove much. get an inline fuse holder and solder it to one of the lead thats always shows 12V. You can remove the fake button (next to the VDC button) or modify it to accept you phone charger.
