Default Terk XM-3 Antenna Question

Has anyone used the Terk XM-3 low profile antenna before? How is the reception? I am planning on installing it on the rear strut bar cover...probably on the right side...or even on the plastic part. Let me know your thoughts on this. Do the bigger "mouse" style antennas get better reception with stealthy in-the-car installs?

Here is EBAY link for one:

I have the OEM XM satellite receiver but had the dealer use the XM3 rather than the factory's Clarion antenna. Solid reception with very few drop-outs. Much better than my previous Alpine set-up in my 300ZX. That antenna, a Terk MI I think, was inside underneath the glass hatchback. My XM3 is mounted on the outside, right rear corner of my roof line. It is not the ideal install (I'd prefer it in center of the roof line), but the hatch seam just doesn't have enough space for it. Good Luck.
