But for me right now charging it every week back up to 100% in 10 minutes is fine with me I have other things my Z is sucking money out of my pocket for, you know
With the car running you shouldn't be getting that much voltage drop. You also shouldn't have to charge the battery every week unless you drive 3 miles a day and listen to the radio with the car off in between.

Also, a lower amperage longer charge is better for your battery than a 10 minute high amp charge.

Lemme add that it only hits the 12.3v range occasionally when at idle and the A/C is on high, hids on, amp on and pushing the sub hard

yea I drive more than that one way, but I do use it when the car is off. And ➕1 to trickle charging thats a no brainer. But for the sake of argument I was just saying it can be a simple and quick stop gap

well haven't done the big 3 upgrade to my car yet which i know i need to get done soon. i look under my hood today to see if i can find my alternator which i did. from the looks of it from where i was facing it don't look to hard to do. would i need to remove my alternator to do the power wire or should i be able just jack my car up and replace it with it bolted up ?
