Planing a stereo solution for 2006, 6mt z. For subs I like either zenclosures,,or Jl audio solution, they both will use the same jl speakers, and fit in the same place, zenclosures offers,an amp rack with theirs. Opinions please. For door speakers I will probably go with jl audio also, I have them in my truck, and love them. I am wondering what's the largest,speaker,that can fit in front door. I see using spacers to allow deeper speakers. I see pods, but have not read what other size speakers will fit in door, for example,will a 6x9?. I've also read for a good system concentrate on fromt speakers because rear ones are too close to head

I'm running a set of Rainbow SLC265.25NG's in the front using 1" of spacing. Just barely clears the door panel and barely clears the window. Just the front speakers will make your ears ring in my car so I don't see a need to put rears in it.

6.5 is the biggest that will fit without modifications, and really is the biggest you need unless you want to run 3 way.


I don't like kick pods. Too easy to have a speaker get damaged.
