Default Bose 6CD changer- check disc error

So my 350 won't read discs and okay then and would show the saying "please check disc" error. What could cause this? It happened last week but before that it was working fine with the same cds I tried today.

It happens with a lot of Bose head units eventually. I went through at least 3. If you want to continue using the Bose, they can be found pretty cheap in the Marketplace. I think I paid $50 for my last one.

AdvanZ33 explains the problem.

You can purchase Bose units in the Marketplace forum, but some of these units are available because the owner swapped for a new unit when the one they are reselling has the problem. Also… Unless you are doing the “swap-labor” yourself, you are paying a significant amount each time you install another Bose unit.

I would go with an aftermarket H/U. The lowest priced aftermarket H/U is much better than the OEM Bose that Nissan supplies in the 350z.

It's common problem with Bose H/U. That's exactly what happened to me before, and I replaced with another Bose H/U.
