Does anyone else have this problem with their double DIN mounting kit?

Ive had this issue with two different mounting kits I've ordered. I'm sure it isn't the pioneer unit itself because the dimensions are the same as any other double din deck.
As you can see in the pic there is a gap on the bottom of the mounting kit. I've been tolerating it for almost 2 years now but it's come to the time where I just want to get a proper fitting one.
Can you guys share your experiences with this, or lead me to one that fits so i can order it.

RESOLVED
I got the from amazon already. Immediately I knew this piece was alot better in quality than the metra kit that I had originally. The dimensions looked nice and the plastic was very sturdy and not flimsy at all. For those of you who learned to tolerate the gap, I strongly reccomend that you go and get yourself this piece for only $8 on Amazon.
Here is how my deck looks now, as you can see; no gaps on any sides, and no modifications had to be done to install the piece.

Which brand and part number kit did you buy? . The problem is most likely the kit.
On the other hand the manufacturing process is not always perfect. Sometimes undersized or oversized products can slip through.

Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt on a falsely measured piece so i ordered a second one a month or two later. Same thing again

I thought of a few alternate ways like this but I really want to find a piece that wouldn't need to be modified. If i don't come across anything I might need to try something like Styrofoam though.
I have the opposite problem. Mine fits fine at the bottom but there isn't enough room at the top for the motorized face to clear so I had to cut the top piece out. Luckily with the face angled up it mostly fills the gap.

Sounds like perhaps the same piece but flipped around. It'd be nice if my face angled too, I might have been able to find a work around that way

I was actually having fitment problem with mine and i just learn to live it with it. I have adjustable angle so i just adjust it to hide it better. You could take it to a specialty shop and they should be able to get it flush and perfect for ya.
this is the one that i used, didnt have any issues

Edit: nvm looks like this is a 06-08 one. I seen a scosche one in the related items and it appears to have a better frame than ones ive used. I just added the scosche one - I'l update you guys on how it fits when that comes in.

You're right, the fitting is very tight, in my case that worked out well but I can see why customizations would need to made for motorized faces.
