lol really? I honestly didn't know....how's it a defrost vent when it points away from the windshield? The vents up at the base of the dashboard I thought were the defrost vent?

It blows on the side window so you can see your side mirrors.

Oookkayyyy....strange idea for the engineers?

Never seen a car or SUV that does that since just rolling the window up and down will clear fog on a side window.

Any idea how to remove that piece?

And pretty much every new vehicle (2000+) has them.

My 92 chevy silverado had defrost vents for the side windows.

i don't think it would be a good place to mount a tweeter if that is what you wanted to do

possible yes

imaging correctly no

base of your a pillar best bet

Thanks guys, sorry for the big break in time...been pretty busy.

I won't use that area then, the side window defroster....going to experiment with some other locations and still want to try mounting my rears further back to see what happens to stage.

I'll keep you posted if this comes to fruition, I better finish everything by October though, the Holiday Season will fly by in busyness once I get closer to Thanksgiving, will have no time.
