Kicker CompR 10" 400w 2 ohm
I've been trying to figure out what amp to use with these subs.
I'll be installing 2x Kicker CompR 10" 400w 2 ohm subs. They have a 1ohm or 4ohm switch. Should I take this to assume that I could use a 800w RMS 2ohm amp, with the subs set to 1ohm, wired in series?
If so, can anybody recommend one? If not, what would I need?
I've been searching and cannot seem to find an amp that meets the specs I need, but that could be due to my ignorance.
I don't really need any extra bells and whistles, but I do want one that is fan cooled.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

I believe my ignorance is getting the better of me. Further research leads me to believe I need either a 1 ohm or 4 ohm amp.
Monoblock 800w RMS at 1 ohm sounds like it'd be the ideal way to go.

For anybody listening, it appears that my first assumption was correct.
For these kickers, when running 2, if you set them to 4ohm and run in parallel, you'll end up with a 2 ohm impedance requiring a 2 ohm amp at 800w rms (or close to it).
You can also run them at 1 ohm and wire in series which will require the same stats on the amp.
Calling Kicker helped clear this up for me. They suggested the Kicker KX800.1, which is perfect...but the price is a bit high.
If anybody knows of another amp that meets these requirements, I'd appreciate the point in the right direction, as I cannot seem to find any others in a lower price bracket that wouldn't underpower or overpower the subs too much.
