Default 06 Speakers/Bass Cutting Out

I have an 06 with around 125k miles on it. When I bought the car the speakers performed fine for about 2 months, but now the right speakers will cut out, along with the bass and sometimes it will create a static buzzing sound in the right door speaker as well. It will cut in and out even from just hitting a bump in the road. I can usually get the speaker to come back by turning the volume up high, then back down again. Just curious if anyone knows what the issue is, and what a solution to it is, thanks. The speakers on the right are the only ones that complete cut out occasionally.

Okay, thanks, I'll try that. the bass may not be even the thing cutting out, it just gets really faded and quiet sometimes, but yeah it is an after market unit which I forgot to mention, so that could definitely be the problem. Thanks
