Focal componet speakers Y/N
I'm trying to find the lowest price for Focal componets.
Please only post a website that you have purchased from, thanks.
Looking for 165KP or 165K2.
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=13570 wants $419.
Also does anyone know what focals will fit in the doors? I currently have kicker componets.
Who has Focals in their car? How do the componets sound? Any other componets that maybe better?

I have Focal components in the doors and coaxes in the rear, and they sound very nice. I originally had Polk's,and the Focal's are a HUGE improvement.
I believe you need 6.5's in the front and 6.75's in the rear, but I could be wrong....my memory's a little fuzzy on the specific sizes.

Do you have the Polyglass 165K? Did you get them on-line?

i have 6.5" 165v2 polyglass both in front and back... the front needs a spacer cuz the magnet will hit the corner if you dont rise it up about an inch or so. i have enjoyed my focals for about 6 months now, they're great. and the k line are just as good if not better.

sorry but a little offtopic question bout some focals.....i went to a local audio place and had a little chat with the guy.
he said hes done tons of Z's and told me about the fitment problem in the front doors, which i was already aware of. I told him about cutting the old housing from the stock speakers and refitting the new ones in, but instead of going through with that he recommended me some Focal slim speakers.
forgot the exact model, he just said they had slim in the description. anyone know anything about these?

i have the slim version up front of the polyglass, you will still need an inch of clearance if you're gonna just stick the speakers in without the stock housing. if the window is all the way down, the corner of the window will hit the magnet. hope that helps

I have the Focals 165k polykevlar components in the front and 165ca in the rear. Both speakers are 6.5 in and fit in the stock locations. Spacers are needed for fronts and can be obtained at car stereo stores or made. I bought mine on Ebay 289.00 for the fronts and 98.00 for the rears. Great Price!

I have Focals in some custom kickpanel enclosures I built--5 3/4" components from their polykevlar line. In my opinion the only better components out there are the Focal Utopias and the Dynaudio 3-way component systems.

I just switched my 6 1/2" Infinity Kappa Perfect Componets with some 6 1/2" Focal Polykevlar Components - WOW - I though MBQuart were he best sounding components, not anymore. I will be posting some pics of the swtch soon - Focal are by far the best compents out there. Also, I had no issue wih fit. The 6 1/2" fit perfect. We had to modify the tweeter casing (make a bigger hole) since i used the 1 inch utopia tweeters (wow as well).
