Kenwood DVD double DIN installed pic
Just got home and need to head right back out. Thought i would share a picture of the kenwood dvd 7015 install. Turns out they are making a custom trim plate surrounding the unit for me today so i'll have that on tomorrow and have more pics of final install. Also will take a few pics with a DVD. So far so good.

Thanks, sounds like a good idea. Should i go with the MOMO AT **** from performancenissan? Just between coordinating leather seats, audio and purchase of wheels, forgot about the little details.

When i go back for trim plate install, also will have sirius installed and music keg installed.
What do you think? should i go for the 10 or 20 kenwood music keg. looks like price not far off.

Please be sure to write in your next post a little on the Keg navigation, ease of use, pics if possible.
I want this too, but want to be sure that Kenwood has included a better means of navigation of the Keg before I plop down $1300.00.
thanks

Hey guys, I got to the shop a little later than expected so postponed music keg and sirius until monday because the wait would have been too long.
I'll post some pics once the music keg is installed and how easy/hard it is to navigate.
As far as color change, i haven't had time to read through the manual yet but i'll get back to you on that after the weekend.
Plan to set/program/adjust the unit this weekend.
With regards to the trim plate, there is one they were going to use but the shop owner said that it fit too tight and was difficult to wedge in, thus the custom trim plate.

One important thing to consider for those of you interested in this kenwood unit and with automatic transmission. When the screen folds out to insert/eject CD or DVD, the screen just touches the push button on the automatic shift ****. I tested this several times with it in park and neutral. Looks like if it didn't touch the push button, it would extend maybe another 2-3 milimiters. Good thing is that when it touches the shift ****, it doesn't retract back in.
However I stopped by PerformanceNissan and switched to the MOMO AT shift ****. With the Momo, it's a tad shorter depending on you low you install it. Also the push button is on top instead of front. With this setup, my Momo **** is a good 1.5 cm from the screen when it opens. Also the Momo is probably an 1-1.5 inches shorter. For those of you wondering, adjusting the tilt screen doesn't change things. Also because it is an iso mount, the installer said they couldn't have the unit sit in any deeper.

Looking good! Any pix with the screen fold down open? Wanna see how much it opens. Also, do you have the exact measurements of it? L,W and H. would it fit the stock nav area? Even if custom.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I'll take a pic with the screen fold down and measurements tomorrow.
I'm not a big fan of the trim plate finish. Any suggestions? Thinking of making my own out of maybe a flat black finish.

Then I read your post...
How far does it stick out (was really hoping it would be flush )
Can you take a picture from the side ?
