to find out what the pin out was for the cd changer.
Clarion made it, cant be that hard to adapt a clarion changer to work with the HU.

Got to be better than paying over 550 for the stock changer.

I am getting a extra stock HU

I will take it apart and experiment with cd changers if noone else has the guts.

I'll post the results.

If the pinout looks anything like the one for the B15 sentra it has already been pinned out. Since the harness is the same exact one as in the B15 I would check it out. Go to www.b15sentra.net and do a search on stock cd changer pin out. I know several people over there have already done it.

as far as I can tell. The Z radio uses a N-Bus, the changer that they are using there is one that uses either a 6 or 8 pin MIDI cable. Not the same.

had the ALNS1 which allowed hook up of an Alpine 6 disc cd changer or using the ALNS1 with AUXCBLALP provided an auxliury input. The ALNS1 cost $129 when released, now is discontinued for redesign for more vehicles.

For $129, plus whatever the AUXCBALP cost, I'd rather buy a replacement radio.

So I will use some pin outs I found and use the CD changer input for an AUX input.

But there are two problems:

They don't make it.
When they did, it cost way too much.

I think I have the pin out of the N-BUS interface for the stock cd-changer. By pulling one line low, it should enable the line level left and right inputs. I will either:
Make a connector with the adapter and RCA plugs
Or
Go inside the case of the head unit and replace the N-BUS connector with a set of RCA inputs and a line to pull the sensor low.

Should work, for a couple of bucks.

That would get me aux inputs.

Don't know about a changer, that would cost too much for the unit (100 or more) for experimentation.

I will prob install one line level aux, then mount a switch elsewhere to toggle between Computer / Game / Camera inputs.

Worth a try, I think.

But I wonder if the Nissan N-bus is just a modified connector to either Clarions C-bus or CeNet bus?

Seems silly that clarion would invent a completly new bus for Nissan - all they would have to do is change the connectors and everyone would think it was different.

I just wonder.

Check out http://carstereohelp.net/wireharness_Nissan2.htm for a Pin-out. I think this would be comparable.
