Why do you want the 7001? Isn't that the head rest one? Wouldn't the 7000 model be the one for the Z?

Why is the 7000 model so much cheapier than the 7001 model? What is wrong with using the 7000? Doesn't it fit?

Dave, let me know what price you can get the 7001 for incl shipping.
Sxviper, i am not sure if the 7000 and 7001 are the same size. All i know is that i have seen a lot of people saying that 7001 fits perfectly.

Unhappy Farenheit T-7001MHR woes!

Oh Geeze!
I just bought a Farenheit T-7001 after reading all of the posts on this forum to buy one and now am in bad shape!
I bought the T-7001 MHR, and by NO MEANS does it into the center console monitor area as is!

It is about 3/4" too wide on both sides! Oh NO!
I just bought from eBay vendor for $205,plus $8 shipping (brand new). Sad, because I looks like it would be a great monitor otherwise!
I really hope that they will take it back! (Anyone interested in buying it to try a custom install job?)

Unless you are brave, you will be sorry if you take that advice to buy the T-7001MHR and try to fit it into the center console.

It may fit if you cut the back out of the console, then try to fit in from the inside? Using a bracket or something like that.....
It may run up agains the door hinge mechanism, I never had the console removed yet, so I am not sure....

There are all these posts here that it is supposed to fit perfectly?

You are correct, there are no regular T-7001's for sale anymore.
I believe that they are discontinued? I looked high and low.
Farenheit seems to have an unmotivated sales team that will not return any questions to buy their products.

georgyo,

the screen should fit perfectly without needing you to cut anything. Do a search and you will detailed installation instructions with the T-7001. What is the name of the vendor on ebay you got it from. Are you sure it is the T-7001 you are talking about, because i thought the 7001 was the new one replacing the 7000. If not, what is the new one replacing the 7001 ? Let me know if you decide to sell it since i might be interested.

Default Difference in T-7001 and T-7001MHR?

Hi lugnta,
Thanks for the response. I am just thinking that there is a difference in the two, the T-7001, and T-7001MHR monitors.
I would love if this monitor would fit, but the install jobs here that I have seen so far are about mounting this monitor from the outside, not the inside. The vendor on eBay was Mike at National Product Sales at (801)-972-5278, Utah. I forget his handle, but will grab it later.
If anyone knows a good way to mount this from the inside, that would be good to know!
Thanks.
