Default Rear Camera finally completed w/touch screen/voice NAV

Lexan covered lens shows 3 lines behind you day or night crystal clear but not cheap. Head Unit does local TV, DVD,DVD Audio, XM/ and now rear camera works with a hidden toggle for on/off or when in reverse.

They did studies on our car where the best imaging is where the tweeters bounce off the glass, so my tweets are on my pillars, mids are in stock locations.

Nice. What do you mean by "3 lines"? What brand and model of camera? Where did you get it?

Did you look into the Murano reverse camera setup. We had one @ work the other day and it looks like a direct replacement for the rear hatch release button.

Sorry it should read 3 lanes not lines and it an Alpine DVD HU and a Pioneer 7500DVD in dash with 7 inch screen.

I will ask about the camera brand it retails for 300 but I paid much less.

The TV Tuner is Pioneer too under the passenger seat w/ antenea.

I have pics of the screen I will upload after dinner , thanks everyone!

So you have 2 dvd HU's? Just in case one breaks lol = ). Good choice on the pioneer 7500. Thats the one i decided on, but doesn't it have a built-in tv tuner? I thought the only other piece that had to be mounted was the "brain."

thanx

The Alpine is the voice touch screen NAV that interfaces with the Pioneer DVD, it is in a compartment behind the seat hidden.

I guess the box under the seat is the "brain." More pics to follow.

Reciept listing for camera says RC AV-C25 I can't find much on it other than RC means rear camera and when I type that in I get this.

http://electronicspluz.com/ipw-web/e...products_id=39

I honestly can't say if that is what I have, I doubt it but I can call them Monday www.paradyme.com they have done all my cars for 12 years and no one else touches my wiring. Their website sucks they are more into Home A/V but book weeks in advance without advertising or websites lol I have tried to get them to update it for years.

Sweet setup man, I just did mine a couple of days ago as well. I am now totally addicted to Dvd audio, waiting on my XM module in the mail but I don't think any sound can compare to DTS. I am in awe of the sound quality, I've already bought like 4 dvds that are strictly concerts and music videos. Mp3s are of differing quality if you d/l them like me..never know what their gonna sound like. I have been able to find some music videos on the net and burn em as video cd. Most of those are pretty good quality. I highly recommend 2Fast2Furious to show off your new system, the opening race looks, sounds and feels awesome.

Hey thanks!

I got a new amp just for the DVD Audio that is how addicted I am to it and added a 4.5 Kenwood center channel for soundstage on the front AC grill area. 5.1 rocks.

One final thing, they call it a rear camera for a reason. The default sucks, it will *only* come on when the car is in reverse and the NAV will *only* work when the emergency brake is on.

Of course you can rewire the E Brake thing for mobility and add a toggle switch for the camera but you have to know to ask. I would never do that, I want to abide by all laws. I even put on my front plate because of hassle at work. I didn't use the stock mounting bracket though it blocked my Intercooler and looked uncool. Of course I also own some ocean front property in Arizona too. Seriuos about the plate though I did get hassled and added it but I worked around the other crap for some new front mounted display law so throw me in jail

Toggle switch..umm yea thats ilegal. I would never do that. Btw I'm waiting to put my camera in, have to wait for my real license plate as it will mount in the plate.
