Hows the sound? For some reason I was thinking that I would just put 2 12's facing out in the stock location (along with one in the glove box). Well after stepping back into reality, I have realized that it would be much easier to simply build 2 boxes and place them in the void that is the stock locations. No subs facing out for me, not like that was the plan anyway since I wanted a "Stealth Install"
Heck, at this point I'll be happy with duck tapping the subs to the roof like mouse ears. <Maybe I could be sponsered by Disney> I have already gutted the car and applied the sound deadener. Yet again I was smoking crack because I thought it would only take 2-3 nights. Well 1.5 weeks later. Actually that is well worth it because the road noise has dramatically decreased. I'm still not done yet. My plan is to pull the seats and carpet as well. And by the way, that "Thunder Mat" I got off ebay (100sqft for $120 Shipped) works like a champ!! I wouldnt suggest putting on multiple layers for the following reasons: A) layer #1 is a pain in the a$$ by itself, and B) with only one layer I had a hard time getting the panels back on right. With 2 I dont think it would have worked. I'm going to be running 3 amps now. 1 (550RMS) for each sub and 1 (300RMS) for the mids and highs. Total of about 1400 RMS. This has so gotten out of control. Thank God for employee discounts!! HOPEFULLY I will be done in a few more weeks. As of now the only thing in is the Head unit. I tried installing the rear speakers and let me tell you what....Nissan has F#cked us again because NOTHING FITS RIGHT!!!! Not that I'm upset or anything.
Well sorry for making this so long and thanks for letting me rant on about this. Hopefully it will be ready for the dragon.
Just in case you forgot the question, How do subs sound in the boxes with the boxes placed inside the stock location and the other where the glove box would go?
Thanks,
BSZ

yea, it will be.. I went the easy route.. built a box slapped a sub in and put it behind the seat.. sub facing up.. Sounds sweet.. nobody looks back there and I have the stock cover..

It is amazing how much road noise comes from the floor board. I did my side and driving to work was a night and day difference. I could hear everything coming from the passenger side. The drivers side is nice and quiet. I have been wanting to do this for a while (sound deadening) and am really happy with the way it is turning out. Just from doing the back I could tell a big difference even before I put all the trim panels back on. Once I did, all the noise was coming from upfront or under me, and now I know why. I'm thinking that the majority of the noise was coming from up front the whole time. On a side note there was a casuallty during the carpet removal. The floor vent on the passenger side broke. Not that you can see it, but just knowing that it happened is kind of destressing.
